    A series of high profile acquisitions meant Amobee needed a 2IC to the MD to roll out the vision for the business.

    They're a leading presence in the mobile and AdTech space, so a strong technical knowledge complemented by sales leadership was imperative.

    After an initial consultation and report on the trends and talent shortage in the market, collectively, we came to the conclusion Amobee needed a Head of Technology as well as a Head of Sales to achieve long-term goals as the leaders in the tech space.

    We were asked to help find the Head of Digital for the recently retained Lloyds Banking Group account.

    The candidate was going to lead the digital output of MEC's newly created business unit, Greenhouse.

    MEC wanted an elite digital talent that could evangelise digital to the most senior clients while also producing a digital roadmap for Lloyds Banking Group's future activity. They'd also be responsible for the digital output of the agency, from both a strategic and commercial standpoint.

Jim Brown (UK)

Founder and CEO

Jim started out in the media hiring market in 1997 and has worked in ad tech since it became a term.

He's one of the few people in the industry with extensive experience in running contingency and retained searches across all media platforms, in addition to technologies as they've emerged.

Hirers and candidates feel safe with Jim: they trust him with sensitive strategic information, and know they can always rely on him to deliver when it counts. He's helped clients shape their industries - and in turn helped people and businesses to scale and shine.

Daniel Bateson (AU)

Managing Director - Australia, Sydney

Dan brings a wealth of executive search expertise, having lead retained and contained projects for blue-chip firms inside and outside the media, ad tech and mar tech spaces. Starting his career at Michael Page, Dan lead the search practice at Carmichael Fisher, before running all commercial activity for round8 APAC and then founding the search firm Plat4m. Dan returned to round8 in April 2017 to spearhead our APAC move into project-led talent search.
